2012 QYO Alumni Orchestra

Next concert: 7pm Saturday 22 December 2012

If you attended or played in the orchestra for any of our major QYO Alumni Orchestra concerts at QPAC in 2002 (Mahler’s 1st Symphony, celebrating John Curro’s 70th birthday), 2006 (Holst’s Planets) or 2010 (Havergal Brian’s Gothic Symphony), you won’t want to miss our 2012 event.

To celebrate John Curro’s 80th birthday, the QYO Alumni Orchestra conducted by John Curro will come together to play Richard Strauss’s epic, Alpine Symphony. If previous events are any indication, we will have an orchestra of around 150 players and a capacity audience in the QPAC Concert Hall.

We will contact QYO Alumni during 2011 to request expressions of interest to play in the orchestra for this major event. If you are interested and think we may not have your most current email address, please email the QYO General Manager, Geoff Rosbrook, at geoff@qyo.org.au
