QYO Chamber Orchestra

The 30-member QYO Chamber Orchestra consists of members of the Queensland Youth Symphony and augmenting players. In 2011, the orchestra is undertaking tours to Far North Queensland and Bundaberg.

From 2003 to 2010, the chamber orchestra was conducted by Sergei Korschmin and guest conductors Brett Weymark, Sean O’Boyle and Leonard Spira. It performed concerts in Brisbane, Noosa, Tweed Heads, Nambour, Maryborough, Thursday Island and Bundaberg. In these concerts, the orchestra collaborated with ensembles and soloists including guitarist Tommy Emmanuel, oboist Barry Davis, the Bundaberg Youth Orchestra, Bundaberg Youth Choir, Bundaberg Orpheus Singers, Black Armband and the Noosa Chorale.
