Queensland Youth Symphony

2011 CONCERT SERIES

 

The Queensland Youth Symphony Concert Series includes three symphony concerts at the QPAC Concert Hall, the Strings Sensations Concert at the Old Museum Concert Hall and the popular QYO Finale Concert.

String Sensations

String Sensations is the finals concert of the National Youth Competition (NYCC), Australia’s leading competition for string players up to 17. The three finalists play some of the most popular and challenging string concertos with the Queensland Youth Symphony.

The program and Soloists will be announced in September 2011.

 

QYO Finale

Saturday 29 October 2011 7pm QPAC Concert Hall

The QYO Finale Concert showcases the seven orchestras of QYO, more than 480 enthusiastic musicians aged 9 to 25: Queensland Youth Symphony, 2nd and 3rd Queensland Youth Orchestra, Big Band, Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble and Junior String Ensemble join in for this great concert at the QPAC Concert Hall.

The program will be announced in October 2011.
