The QYO Big Band has been very busy this past month with performances at Queen Street Mall and the QPAC Green Jam.

On Thursday 11 April, QYO welcomed a large audience at the first Morning Music series concert of the year.

Congratulations to the Queensland Youth Symphony members for a magnificent concert on the 18th of August

The QYO Big Band has been involved in some high profile concerts lately including Jazz Under the Stars with Tom Burlinson at Churchie, Essentially Ellington Festival at Marist College Ashgrove, Lord Mayor's Charitable Trust Gala Ball 'Midnight in Paris' at City Hall and the Doo-Bop Bar in the city. Coming up on Sun 28 Oct, they will perform in the Queen Street Mall from 12pm.

Congratulations to 16 year old NSW violinist Andrew Wang who has been awarded 1st prize in the 43rd National Youth Concerto Competition.
